The author is a Shropshire lad.
He attended Goldsmiths College in London, studying Speech and Drama.
While there he wrote a one act play which won the London University One Act Play Festival and went on to win the South East England Festival.
For many years writing had to take second place to providing for his family.
When he retired from teaching he began to write again, including a full length play, produced locally, a story read on the radio and several prize winning poems.
He has written two historical novels, one published on the internet, and is working on a third.
A Perfect Alibi is his first contemporary crime novel.
The author lives in Shropshire with his wife and son and two demanding Lhasa Apso dogs.
